1. Thermal spray
Thermal spraying is a method of heating a spraying material with a heat source, atomizing, spraying, and depositing molten or nearly molten particles on the surface of a substrate to form a special surface layer.
At the current stage, there are mainly three types of heat sources used for spraying; one is an arc heat source, the other is a plasma flame heat source, and the third is a natural gas heat source. Therefore, thermal spraying methods can be divided into three categories: arc spraying, plasma spraying and flame spraying.
2.Spray welding (or spray melting)
Spray welding is a method of heating a material with a heat source, spraying it onto the surface of a substrate, and then melting it onto the surface of the substrate to form a special surface layer. At this stage, the heat source used in spray welding is mainly oxyacetylene flame.
